STORRS -- Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis had 20 points, 10 rebounds and a career-high 10 assists to lead top-seeded UConn to a 91-52 victory over ninth-seeded Saint Joseph's Tuesday in the second round of the NCAA tournament before 4,245 at Gampel Pavilion. It was the third triple-double in team history.
Mosqueda-Lewis joins Stefanie Dolson, who had 26 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists against Oregon Nov. 20, and Laura Lishness, who had 14 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists against Providence March 5, 1989, in the record book.
The Huskies (36-0) will meet 12th-seeded BYU (28-6) in the Lincoln Regional semifinals Saturday. The Cougars are making their second appearance in the Sweet 16 in their 10th tournament appearance (2002).
UConn has advanced to the regional semifinals in 21 straight seasons dating back to a 74-71 loss to Louisville in the first round March 18, 1993. Stanford holds the second longest active streak with seven straight appearances.
Breanna Stewart finished with 21 points, 11 rebounds, five blocks and two steals for the Huskies. She has 12 double-doubles this season.
Bria Hartley added 20 points and three assists. Stefanie Dolson had 17 points, six rebounds and two assists, while Moriah Jefferson contributed 11 points, five rebounds and two assists.
Erin Shields and Sarah Fairbanks each had 12 points to lead Saint Joseph's (23-10).
